Urinary tract problems and problems resulting from suppressed anger.
You are not alone…
Ten million Americans have osteoporosis, which literally means porous bone. Thirty-four million more have low bone density, which puts them at risk for osteoporosis. Low bone density can lead to problems with posture and increased risk for fractures.
Conventional medicine has its place…
Conventional medicines can be lifesaving in emergency situations and can control symptoms for many people. Unfortunately, they do not address the underlying cause of the symptoms. In addition, some medicines have serious side effects that make their use undesirable.
You do have options…
Many people do not realize there are options in addition to conventional medicine that will actually make them better. By addressing the underlying causes of osteoporosis, patients experience reductions in symptoms, improvements in overall health, and reduced dependence on medications.
There is hope…
The doctors at Asheville Natural Health & Homeopathy have been helping people increase bone density for years. Call today to schedule an appointment. We use safe, effective natural therapies that are individualized for you. Get started on the road to recovery and reclaim your health!
What do you do for patients with osteoporosis?
Like all tissues in the body, our bones are constantly breaking down and rebuilding. Osteoporosis occurs when bone breakdown exceeds bone rebuilding. At Asheville Natural Health & Homeopathy, we restore this equation using diet, exercise, and supplements.
Each patient’s plan is individualized to meet their needs and lifestyle – we have never found a “one size fits all” approach to be useful for the majority of people. We spend one hour with an adult patient on the first visit to make sure we understand your situation very thoroughly. We also spend time in follow up visits to make sure that you are able to implement the plan successfully.
There are different aspects of the diet that contribute to healthy bones. We customize diet depending on each patient’s sensitivities and lifestyle. There is ample evidence in the conventional medical literature supporting the role of diet for osteoporosis. We continuously comb that literature to add to our knowledge of the relationship between diet and disease.
The right type of exercise is critical to keeping bones healthy. We know which exercises work best, and we are specialists in customizing exercise plans that you are able to sustain long-term.
There are suppements that are proven to safely increase bone density. Our goal is always to get the most improvement with a minimum of supplements.
What about my medications?
Conventional medicines can be lifesaving in emergency situations and can control symptoms in many people. Unfortunately, they do not address the underlying cause of the symptoms. In addition, some medicines have serious side effects that make their use undesirable.
At Asheville Natural Health & Homeopathy, our programs improve your health on a fundamental level. Healthy bodies don't need medications. Our goal is always to reduce or eliminate the need for medications, and we are generally successful.
Please don't ever discontinue a medication without the consent of your physician, as that could be dangerous or uncomfortable.

Reversing bone density loss can take a long-term commitment. Patients will typically have two to four visits at weekly to monthly intervals until they have fully-implemented their program. Follow up then tends to be quarterly to annually, when results can be measured and evaluated. Follow up visits will last 45 minutes to one hour, as they involve coaching, counseling and troubleshooting.
Supplements may be required at an additional cost. We try to keep supplements to a minimum, but our patients may spend between $25 and $150 per month on supplements.
Ongoing follow up care may be required to maintain results.
